Whether you're replacing an existing system or installing AC in a new space, knowing what to expect makes the process smoother. Here's how Air & Energy handles a typical installation.
Before recommending a system, we perform a load calculation based on your home's square footage, insulation, window area, and sun exposure. Proper sizing matters — an oversized system short-cycles and doesn't dehumidify properly, while an undersized system runs constantly and can't maintain comfort.
Most residential AC installations are completed in a single day. Our crew removes your old equipment, prepares the mounting locations, installs the new air handler and outdoor unit, connects refrigerant lines, electrical connections, and the condensate drain, and then tests the full system.
Before we leave, we walk you through your new system — how to operate it, filter replacement schedules, what normal sounds look and sound like, and how to register your warranty.
We protect your floors throughout the installation, remove all old equipment, and leave your home as clean as we found it.
