Your AC system removes humidity from the air and expels the resulting condensation through a drain line. When that line gets clogged, it can cause water damage and system shutdowns.
Water pooling near the air handler, a musty smell, or your system shutting off unexpectedly are all signs the drain line may be blocked.
Locate the PVC drain line near your indoor air handler. Remove the cap and pour a cup of white vinegar or a bleach-water mixture into the line. Let it sit for 30 minutes, then flush with water.
If the clog is severe or you’re not comfortable doing it yourself, call Air & Energy at 941-778-0773. We can clean the line and ensure your system is running properly.
