The 72-hour window

When a Hurricane Watch is issued for Southwest Florida, you have roughly 72 hours before conditions deteriorate. That's your window. The families who weather storms best are the ones who prepared in May — not when a storm is already named.

AC preparation

Pre-cool your home to 68F before a storm with likely power loss. Turn the AC off at the breaker when conditions deteriorate. Wait 30 minutes after power is restored before restarting. If the AC doesn't cool after the storm, call us at (941) 778-0773 before cycling it repeatedly.

Electrical safety

Whole-home surge protection is the single best pre-storm investment — power restoration spikes destroy appliances. Have your panel inspected if it's more than 20 years old. Our electricians (License #EC13011350) serve all of Manatee County.
